Bahamas is the musical project of Finnish-Canadian singer, songwriter, and guitarist Afie Jurvanen, whose warm, understated blend of folk, soul, country, and indie rock has made him one of Canada’s most beloved modern songwriters. Raised in Barrie, Ontario and now based in Nova Scotia, Jurvanen has been releasing music as Bahamas since 2009, earning critical acclaim, multiple JUNO Awards, and a devoted following through albums like Barchords, Bahamas Is Afie, Earthtones, Sad Hunk, and Bootcut. Known for his effortless guitar work, dry wit, and songs that feel both laid-back and deeply human, Bahamas brings a timeless, easygoing charm to the stage.
