About the Cicada Experience
Cicada is first and foremost a music festival dedicated to celebrating Canada's best musical talent.
Great Canadian Music
Musicians and artists of both local and national acclaim grace the stages at Cicada. Whether you prefer folk, indie, roots or singer-songwriter there is something for every ear. Our selection committee views the lineup as an opportunity to put both familiar and new artists in front of the listeners regardless of their commercial success giving a true taste of the lively and diverse musical landscapes that exist within Canada.
Creating an event for everyone, built on everything local. That includes locally sourced food and drink by local vendors. Local artists, makers as well as performers.
An Experience for Everyone
Cicada is a family friendly, inclusive and accessible music festival in Port Dalhousie, Ontario.
Local Food, Art, Drink
The Niagara Region is known for its hospitality; each year we select local food trucks and drink vendors to satisfy the most discerning palettes including vegetarian and vegan options. There is a focus on locally sourced ingredients. True to the local nature of our event, we also have assembled a maker fair consisting of some of the Region’s most creative individuals!

At the heart of Cicada is a spirit of giving, an opportunity to give back to the Niagara Region through music and community. In this way, we want to use the festival not only as a means to spread culture but to create dialogue about important issues. We have partnered with Movember Canada to provide an opportunity to discuss and create awareness around prostate cancer and mental health.
